Did you know, satin is basically a treadmill for snakes? Snakes move by contracting their muscles in a side to side motion. They have specialised rectangular scales (ventral scales) on their belly which are great for gripping surfaces using friction and pushing themselves forward at "resistance points" (like branches, rocks and soil on land). Satin has a high thread count, meaning it's very smooth and slippery - so snakes can't gain enough traction on the surface to move forward!
