This all depends where you are in the world. There's a range of airlines who all claim to be the best, have pretty airline chicks with uniforms by some famous designer, but at the end of the day you just need a reasonably priced ticket, safety, comfort and well-trained crew. We generally fly Qantas and BA, but flying around the US saw us take to the skies with American Airlines. We were lucky enough to get to see behind the scenes of this great Airline.

Car hire isn't as easy in the US as elsewhere in the world. When they have an accident, they don't just hand it over to the insurance company - they sue for BIG dollars! So just make sure that your parents know that in the US - it's different!
